Exciting News - This award has grown into a NATIONAL award, now honouring both Teachers and Early Childhood Educators across CANADA!
In the past, Natural Curiosity and the Dr. Eric Jackman Insititute of Child Study have honoured pre-service elementary school teachers for their excellence in Environmental Inquiry in Ontario. We are delighted to announce that the Edward Burtynksy award is now also open to Early Childhood Educators nationwide.
The Edward Burtynsky Award for Teaching Excellence in Environmental Education was established by the Laboratory School at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study. This award was made possible by the Norman and Marian Robertson Charitable Foundation, the generosity of anonymous donors, and world-renowned Environmentalist and Photographic Artist, Edward Burtynsky.

We are now accepting applications until May 7th, 2018. Both self-submissions and third-party nominations are encouraged.
